Day in the Life...the Summer Life

Yesterday, the weather in London was as hot as the weather in Trinidad and Tobago. It made for a great day out. And while the 2 days of UK summer may be over, I will always have the memories! I took the boat down the Thames yesterday because the weather was too perfect to have it go to waste. Nothing beats being out on the water when it is 32 degrees Celsius - especially in a city as beautiful as London.

I spent the rest of the afternoon in Greenwich, just relaxing, cooling down and people watching. I also had an encounter with an Indian tourist who felt it worthwhile to abandon his own plans in order to try to stalk me on my day out. Needless to say, I beat it really quickly when I got to Greenwich Pier and left him in my dust.

Just a few photos. Hope everyone else had a great start to the week!

  1. Gosh doesn't the sun make London look nice/ We had a steamy hot day - no, I don't mean Hubby got overexcited. It was lovely and warm and then a billion flying ants took off and circled about.
I am so glad to be back in the blog mix and am about to catch up on all these great posts I have missed.
I no longer show up as Facing 50 - grr. It's something to do with the new website which seems to have eclipsed my facing 50 with humour blog. It's still me though and I think you are fab.

  2. Thanks for giving us a view of london in the summer. Stopping by from #commenthour.

  3. I have only been over seas once when I was 8. I remember a few things about our trip. I know I went to Stratford Upon Avon. I rode the underground with my brother and used the really steep wooden escalators. I don't remember much else other than being a picky eater.

    Coming over from #commenthour

  4. Looks like London got the hot weather from California, because it's been cool and cloudy in my part of the world.
Ohhh how I wish I had the means to travel, One Day! Thanks for sharing the great pictures!

  5. Oh it's so cold and gloomy here in Sydney. Nice to see some sunshine. Reminds me that winter will be over soon (hopefully!)

    Great photos :)

  6. I want to go to London SO BAD. And your pictures aren't helping. I seriously want to drive to the airport and hop on the next plane.

  7. This makes London look beautiful! I always have this picture in my head of it being overcast and cool. I thunk because the one time I was there, it sprinkled the whole time!
